Asbestos contractors:
he firm we used at Bamford to do the asbestos management survey was AMC, Unit G/6 Elvington Estate, Elvington, York, YO41 4AR 01759 307412 info@amc-asbestos.co.uk They were by far the lowest cost for a survey, and did a very thorough job. However the firms they got to quote for the removal were horrendously expensive.
At Portland Works we used Bardon Environmental 6 Fox Valley Way, Stocksbridge, Sheffield, S36 2AE info@bardon-environmental.co.uk 0114 349 7400
We also got quotes from Cordtape (4 Finchwell Close, Handsworth, Sheffield, S13 9DF info@cordtape.co.uk) and Santia who seem to have been taken over by Tersus Group.
We used the following people at Chesterfield FMH. They encapsulated the asbestos rather than removing it, and put warning stickers on any asbestos containing panels: Broadland Group, Dunston, Chesterfield, Derbyshire S41 8NG 01246 267954
